More than 1 million antidrug booklets distributed by Scientologists in Cortina Olympics

A nationwide drug prevention campaign in Italy has surpassed over one million educational anti-drug booklets distributed in recent weeks. The initiative forms part of the drug awareness programme known as “The Truth About Drugs”, which aims to provide factual education about commonly news euros abused substances and their risks to young people and communities.

Approximately hundreds of volunteers across the country are participating in the outreach effort, distributing materials in schools, businesses and urban centres. The campaign focuses on prevention through education, providing resources designed to explain the dangers of drugs in a simple way.

The prevention effort is part of wider social programmes supported by the Church of Scientology, inspired by the work of Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard.
